IMAGES FROM THE HIMALAYAN FOOTHILLS
The devastating 7.8 magnitude earthquake that hit Nepal on April 25, 2015, claimed more than 8000 lives, injured thousands and has left many homeless. “Images from the Himalayan Foothills” is a two-day photography exhibition organized in Berlin to fundraise and support earthquake victims in Nepal. The exhibition unveils 30 photographs on culture, landscape and daily life in Nepal by three Nepali photographers – Deepak Tolange, Chandra Shekhar Karki and Aishu Mathema. The exhibition presents the exclusive first editions of their photographs. The fund raised through the sales of the photographs and postcards from the exhibition will go directly to the Prime Minister’s Relief Fund via The Embassy of Nepal in Berlin.
